You’ve downloaded Waha! So what do you do now? In this brief article, we will outline the process of using Waha with a group of your friends or family.
People learn best when they do it with a group! We can learn from each other’s insights and hold each other accountable. Who are some people you already interact with that you could invite to discover God in the Bible with you?
You could send a message like this to your friends or family:
Hey! I found an app that helps people discover what God says about life and purpose in the Bible. Would you want to meet with me and a few others to try out a lesson?
Where does your group normally hang out? At a park or cafe? At your house? We find that the best groups in Waha meet in places where you naturally already gather.
One group in Southern Europe played board games together regularly. One day, someone in the group learned about Waha and suggested to the others that they play board games then do a lesson in Waha together afterwards!
When you are together with your group, simply open Waha and start with the first foundational study. Tap the “play” icon and listen to the discussion question. Whenever you hear the beep sound, press pause, and discuss the question asked.
It’s that simple!

4. Encourage everyone to participate
We find that the healthiest groups are the ones where everyone participates. Each time you meet, you will come away with specific take-aways of how you will apply what was learned in the lesson. Encourage everyone in your group to actually do what they say they will do
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (James 1:22)
We find that after doing around four lessons, it is no longer beneficial to invite new people to the group. Does this seem counter intuitive? Actually healthy groups start new groups. They multiply, instead of grow. Every time you meet with Waha, your group will discuss who else would like to discover God’s word in this app like your group is doing.
Jesus himself said “‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’” (Acts 20:35)
When we help other discover God, we are blessed in return!
Let’s get started! Why don’t you think of a few friends or family members you could invite right now to do your first lesson with?
