Benny is proud of his son because he leads a network of house churches 4 generations deep! He’s even gotten involved in the network his son leads and has a church meeting in his house as well.

So he was excited one day when he and a few other house church leaders decided to go to a nearby island just across the ocean from where he lived and try to start some new house churches among the lost there. Usually, it was Benny’s son who did all the mission work, but this time it would just be Benny and a few other people involved in the network.

But there was just one problem.

The two islands are separated by miles of shark-infested waters, so it’s hard to maintain consistent contact with the people there.

On Benny’s island, a new house church typically needs a lot of coaching in order to be healthy and keep producing fruit. Benny was used to starting new groups and returning to them week after week in order to model how to meet as a small community. How could he do this if he was only going to be in Rodrigues for a short time?That’s when he found out about Waha.

Benny’s son invited a Waha team member to come to one of their leader’s meeting and share how the app can facilitate a house church meeting without any preparation. Benny was nervous because he’s an older gentleman and isn’t used to all the new technology coming out these days.

But much to his surprise, Waha was simple and easy to use… Even for him!

So Berty and the other leaders went to the neighboring island. They had a great time, and a few families came to faith in Jesus. They took some time to teach them how to be house churches and equipped them with the Waha.

But of course, their time there was short, and Benny eventually had to leave. Over the next month, he worried about his new friends across the sea. Would they continue to meet? Would they fall into heresy? Maybe they’d just become complacent and fall away.

But when he finally got a chance to connect with one of the families, he was overjoyed with the report! Not only had the new house churches continued to meet, but they had just baptized a few more families who would soon become their own house churches too!
